The Current State of Financial Threat Activity

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with John Miller, manager
of threat intelligence at FireEye, to discuss his thoughts on the
current state of financial threats.

Listen to the full podcast here.

At FireEye, John leads a team that focuses on financially motivated
threat activity. Some of the most common financial threat activity
that John is seeing today involves ransomware, point of sale malware,
credential theft malware, and other types of extortion.

During our chat, John also touched on his roots and how he got
started in this area of security, attack methods observed from the
front lines of our cyber investigations that seem to be growing in
popularity, and preventive steps organizations can put in place to
reduce the risk of being compromised.
